Currently in the middle of an argument about this and proof is needed for whether it is or is not legal.

It is legal in your own home. It's illegal in a public place, or to other peoples kids.
South Carolina's Parent / Guardian and Spouse exceptions apply when the alcohol is furnished in the home of the spouse or in the home of the parent or guardian. See S.C. Code Ann. §§ 61-4-90, 61-6-4070.

i took a law class in high school in iowa, which was only about 4 years ago, and i asked the same question to the teacher, my teacher told me that is legal to give your own child alcohol in your own home but not tobacco products, strange if you ask me. but thats in iowa, im not sure in SC. you could call an attorney or the police and ask them. i called the cops here one time just to ask about the statistics for drunk driving and driving while under the influence of cannibus (weed) and who does it more often. i got some surprising results, just an option.

If its in your own house no one will know
but if you make yourself obvious then the police will come and take you to jail for a few days you get out and then pay a fine.If this was china you would be shot in the head and left to bleed.Jail in america is like disney world compared to china.

It is illegal. It is child abuse. It is child endangerment. It is contributing to the delinquency of a minor. It is abuse of parental control. I'm sure the DA could think of several more charges that might be warranted.
