Most STD's don't have side effects. You can have them and not know. Your partner could have them, and you would not know.
How to prevent STD's? Get tested. Have your partner get tested too. Use condom's along with spermicide, every time you have sex. If you are not married to your partner, you should have STD testing done each time you change partners, or once a year if you stay with the same person.

Have you ever had sex? Have you ever seen a gynecologist? These are the things that can tell you if you have any std's. Use condoms, make sure your partner is std free, and you should be able to have a healthy baby, when you are old enough. Because, if you are asking these questions, you aren't old enough to have children.
Go see a gyno, get on birth control, have your std testing done, and wait to make a baby.

Go get tested it is the only way make sure you both do.

To prevent STD's use protection if you think your partner has something.
Don't sleep around or have mulitple partners at one time.

Go to a planned parenthood for advice and information or ask your doctor.

Many STDs have no symptoms, yet some do. You'll want to get tested for every one to be completely sure.

you both need to go to a clinic and get tested before you have sex. that is the only way to make sure you don't have anything and if you do, make sure you won't spread it. be responsible and take the test, even tho i'm sure it can't be easy.

Well, do have sex and wait for a couple of months. If your partner is still alive, you do not have Aids :)
