Did I just make this up? It was a long time about but I think it was a drummer for Poco, and there was speculation that he may have been killed because of some sort of classified information he had about "gravity waves" whatever those are.

I can't find anything on the net about such an article, either true or false, and you have probably also looked. I don't think you made up the story; someone else did. If such a thing were true about a group as well-known as Poco, it probably would have been reported or at least speculated about. Rather, this bears the marks of one of those vague (and usually false) urban legends and conspiracy theories that gets passed around at a party or a bar like a bad cold.
Run this through your BS filter: what would a musician be doing with classified information about gravity waves, and why would it be classified?
