I guess we Americans are out of the loop on this one. I had to look up Boxing Day. It's about giving gifts in boxes, not the sport of boxing. Usually employers give their employees gifts on boxing day (that explains why Americans don't celebrate it). Our employers give us the day off with pay. That is probably the best gift anyway.

Never heard of it till now.
Yes, Janes S.; America must be the only country that doesn't celebrate it.
It would be nice if you told us what it is and what it stands for so we are better informed.
Maybe I'll just google it, find out for myself.
