What do you think of business majors?

Is there a reason you wouldn't choose business as a major?
What kinds of people do you think choose business for a major? do you respect business majors? Do you relate to business majors?

you know actualtly I've wondered about this. I've heard on here a lot about how theres a lot of competition in the business world and that the world "doesn't need another business major" yet jobs such as accounting and finance (more specifically acct), have great prospects and are in high demand. I don't know if it's just specifically business management and marketing majors or the degrees as a whole, it seems to be a bit of a contradiction.

Business or economics major is a very popular major at present time but it is surely not for everyone. It depends on what do you want in your life. If you want money, and only money, and you are very smart, business or economics major is really helpful. Then, after graduation, you can go to wall street and be rich. But if you think you are not among the smartest or don't just want money, do not study Business major. (unless you can't pass other majors, business major is the easiest major, and hardest at the same time.)

A lot of it really depends on the school. There are lots of schools wher the business school is not very rigorous & it attracts students who don't know what to do. Business students from these schools generally aren't very good.

Then there are universities that put more effort into their business programs, make it more selective and make sure that their students get jobs when they get out. A business degree from one of these schools is worth a lot.
