you need to be able to forgive yourself.
changing is hard; i've been through it so many times
the past is in the past and ultimately..
worrying & stressing over it isn't gonna give us
a chance to fix it. besides, even if you could fix it,
you wouldn't be the person you are today.
you have to forgive yourself and start anew
and make a genuine change.

We all do the wrong thing sometimes but you've made the first step to recovery and now know you made mistakes.
You've accepted responsibility now you have to move on and be the person you are with the memories of your mistakes that will serve as alarm bells for the future.
You can't avoid making decisions but you can avoid making bad decisions.
Don't feel guilty, feel remorse.
Don't feel bad, accept what happened
Don't feel stupid, accept that you have been foolish.
Then start afresh. If you have debts to pay, pay them.
"but i can't forget abt the past"
Why would you want to, it's you experience and makes you a more valuable being because of it.
How much of this problem is now lingering on? Are you able to start again with a blank canvas?

You'll probably get a lot of wisecrack answers on this but
you won't from me! At least you realize what you did and
that's the first step towards recovery. You're only human
and human's mess up sometimes. Sounds like you have
a lot of credit card debt? Most Americans do these days.
Sit yourself down with paper and pen and outline the
changes you want to make for yourself. If you owe lots of
money get credit card counseling and they will set you
up with a payment plan that is fair. Regretting the past
and feeling guilty as well as worrying gets you absolutely
no where. Taking action and doing something about your
situation is the road to recovery. The past is the past let
it go and get healed. Always and I mean always focus
and think things through before doing something you'll
regret and hate yourself for later on. You know the old saying
act in haste, repent in leisure! Our credit cards are used
only on things we NEED and ask yourself if you really
have the money to pay for it. We pay our credit cards
in full never the minimum too bad most people don't
do that. This Christmas was low key and paid in cash! Life
is filled with lessons to learn and for some people well,
they have to learn the hard way.
Hope you work things out!
Good Luck!

the past is permanant.
it cannot be changed or erased.
you can regret it or look at it as a lesson learned.
a mistake or bad decision you'll never make again.
life is not about finding yourself, but about creating yourself.
become who you want to be.
if you want to be more responsible, be more responsible and be wise in the decisions you make. when you make a decision, consdier if/how it will affect you in the feature.
every morning you wake up, tell yourself
"Someone did not wake up this morning. Today is a new day. Today, I will succeed. I will not waste my life on pain, strife, or guilt. I am not a bad person because I have made bad descions. I am not a stupid person because I make mistakes. I learn and grow because of them. Today, I will look forward and not back"
repeat this every morning untill you believe it.
you can add things and take things out.
you create change inside out.
first work on you, than everything else will follow.
I hope this helps!

The present good things of your own life, and your own dreams about improving, would never ever come into existence without those terrible past decisions in your life, without those stupid mistakes.
It is never necessary to forget the bad experiences of the past. But it may be important and quite useful to integrate the bitter learning from those experiences into your own further actions.
The strategy might be: From now on. Period and a new line.
A good military-like strategy might bring to a glowing victory.

If you don't forget the past, live in the present and plan for the future, you're going to spend every mment of the rest of your life feeling guilty, stupid and bad. Get over it. You can't change the past.

I feel the same way a lot of the time. The way I try to deal with it is I just tell myself that how I act in the future is what matters, and how I act in the future will make up for my bad actions in the past.

It seems that you urgently need a mentor ..someone you know and trust whom you can learn some life skills from......
The fact that you admit these errors in judgement is in it's self a very good thing.(best place to start)...we ALL make mistakes..
A part of growing up is to except yourself and what one has done, the good the not so good , as one grows one learns to forgive self , it is a part of growing up (and also to forgive other's) for they too started as children and perhaps have never really grown up fully yet ,,
There is no need to beat yourself up...(even if in some odd way it may feel good )learn to just except yourself and be taught better ways of life ...

It's never too late to start being that other person. The one who saves, the responsible spender, the one who thinks through their decisions before jumping in.
