I've never heard of this before...

I always thought that PCOS was when the ovaries DIDN'T function...

I've never been to this gyno before, so it's why I question his comment...

Besides that, he yawned about 6 times during the 5 minute consultation...

That made me wonder how good the guy really was...

Pcos is when the ovaries doesn't funcgtions, I have it myself, either u need to change gyno or re ask him because he might have made a mistake when telling you about it

No, i have PCOS and i do not ovulate at all. Very rare that i do. I have to take bc to ovulate but thats the only thing so far i have found to work. I think you need to talk to the doctor again and if he insist thats the way it is then change doctors. One thing i have learned recently is that there is alot of doctors that doesnt know alot about this problem. It has become more widely seen in the past few years than before. I love my doctor but he doesnt have many pts with this so some times i feel as the bean bag being tossed around. So check around for specialist or talk around to see if any one has the same problem in your area for a advice from there doctors.
