whatever you want or desire. I'm a sociology major in my school. A freshman. Well, I like my course but I don't think I'll prosper in this field. Though the course is so great, I love it but my real passion is in the line of media. So next year, I'll shift to communication arts because its the only course that the school has. If it has Mass Comm. that'll be better. So, the bottom line is... follow what your heart says to you. because even if you don't profit in it so much you'll always be happy inside. trust me

You don't mention any background in the arts. Since those fields are extremely competitive, if you don't have crazy talent and a real passion to pursue them, regardless of success, you probably don't belong there. You do say, though, that you think you would be more successful there, so I wonder if there is something you left out in your background.

As far as business goes, there are a lot of areas which go well beyond accounting and math. I'm in marketing, and while I don't much love accounting either, there are a lot of opportunities for more creative people in areas like mine.

Finally, it doesn't have to be an either/or decision. If you are now in high school or just beginning college, there are many opportunities besides those in the arts and business, and you might want to take some time to explore the possibilities if you aren't sure what you want.

The money is in accounting & finance.

Majoring in a liberal arts subject can get you a spot in finance or consulting if you go to a top school.

If not you should major in business.

The most money is in accounting & finance
then operations, management, business administration and whatnot
and marketing majors generally get the lowest paying jobs out of undergrad.

What should make your decision is what you enjoy, and what you WANT to do with YOUR life.

Just do what motivates you. This is my personal experience. I was never interested in Engineering, I did, but I work in a field which is way too far from the Engineering Industry.

They have a lot of oppurtunities in arts as well. or you can do a minor is business just in case.
