"Boxing Day" is the traditional day to give gifts, or "boxes" to the public service workers you interact with, such as postmen, meter readers, etc.

Coz in the old days Xmas day was a day of religion and going ot church and general over eating so the day after was named boxing day as this was a day for the exchanging of gifts.

Here in the UK it was the day when the wealthy people used to give a Christmas "box" or tip to tradesmen like the milkman, postman and dustmen.

cause since there are so many plp buying gifts the store has to keep bringing boxes of stuf so that it wont get sold out.
