My starter guitar would be a Fender Starcaster that comes with a bag, instructional DVD, electronic tuner, strap, and strings. After shipping, it would probably be around $127. I still haven't decided on a color, but this is what it looks like:

My amp would be a Marshall MG10CD. It's $79 at guitar center (after shipping it's about $95) The 15 watt version is $129, but as a starter, I think 10 will be ok. Or do I need a 15?

my brothers first guitar was a strat, I guess it's ok. he played in Battle of the Bands with it and they gotsecond place. the first place band told them that they diserved first. so sure...and I think a 10 for startes...but it is your guitar. so you dicide! lol good luck!
