. Can you save the bug between two large pieces of clear tape? Take it to ikea, and say you want a replacement. ..er, for the bed, not the bug.
Info from a bed-bug site: "...Most professional exterminators will use steam cleaners to kill the bugs as they can hardly survive at temperatures above 110 degrees Fahrenheit. The heat kills the bugs, and after that it is just up to you to clean up the remains. " ...

Nix the idea of taking the bug back, it could have come from anywhere. First a "Bedbug" is very tiny, not red and you'd barely notice it, it wouldn't be one the box but, inside the mattress along a seam. Look for pepper like thingies.

Since your having roach problems I'd worry about this first. Have an exterminator come in on a regular system and get rid of the roaches first. These will bother your daughter more then bedbugs.

Tape the bug to paper & take it back to the store & consult them as to what it is & how to take care of the problem, so that they can make the manufacturer aware of the problem, if needed.

As long as you take the bed out of the packaging and carefully clean it, you should be fine.
