it is an acoustic guitar and i do have a pitch pipe.

i would get an electric tuner, they are pretty cheap and that way you will know for sure it is in tune.

If you can't tune it by ear buy an electric tuner. They all have pretty much have the same display. Its usually an arrow with a three points, flat, in tune, and sharp. If the tuner reads flat tighten the peg. If it reads sharp loosen the peg.

Get a tuning fork in E or A. They work well and they are cheap.
