not all of them its just the ones u have been watching. have u ever seen the x mas story? its kinda funny. but i know what u mean there is quite a lot of sad x mas shows. and im not sure why....i think its to tell you like the real meaning of x mas and they show it through sad experiences or life lessons

Well maybe it adds to the background or plot of the story, depending on what it's about. But not most Christmas shows have sad themes. Anyways, Merry Christmas!
