It seems they really don't know what and where the candidates stand on issues. The blind leading the blind.
Thoughts????? Thank You.

Not enough unfortunately. Fast food gooblers of reality TV news. NO digest just get bits and pieces. Many follow the polls or the crowd. This past summer, however, many started waking up to the noise of the Clinton thunder. Her numbers have been falling ever since. Same with Rudy. They forced an early election season on the US and it has backfired. I swear how the Clinton's continue with the same tactics and are never original is beyond comprehension. Then women voting for the candidate simply because she is a woman. That is no woman. For others who read this bookmark this link. Check out Hillary's Hidden Hand a link on the right. She is more old boy that those she claimed attacked her. AND if Putin comes after the US how will she react? Run & deny??
I am looking at JohnMcCain.

"man-on-the-street" interviews have shown that the average American can not pick the Vice President out of a line-up, Don't know who the Sec-de-State is, do not understand that Speaker of House is, what?, 3d or 4th in line for the Presidency.

Remember when Reagan was shot, the Vice President was out of the country and the Press asked "who's in charge"? What famous General said "I am."? People didn't understand and thought it may be a military coup.

If we rely on the education of the average American, who does not understand that We The People created the Constitution, which creates Government, which hires our servants, and that we are the enforcement clause in that document, we are doomed.

Actually, America is over. Has been for some time. Ben Cartwright was the last free man in America.

Seeing that we are ranked very bottom as far as how educated we are versus the rest of the world, I think that the majority of Americans will vote by their feelings based on the sound-bites of the media and the thoughts of the opinion makers instead of taking the time to do the research and find out who is the most qualified candidate to lead our country.

One of my biggest concerns ...is that Americans are so STUPID about who and why they vote. Myself included.

I constantly struggle trying to undestand what's REALLY going on. It's like a full time job.

I don't think most Americans have any idea what is at stake on this particular election. I will say, that as I search around and ask questions, others have opinions seemingly based on error or misinformation or simple ignorance on the matters at hand.

Engaging in a conversation about anything as grossly obvious as Immigration or Taxes or the War seem to end the minute I bring some fact the don't know or don't agree with into the conversation.

I worry that all of us agreeing with each other spend too much time in the pub together slapping each other on the back about how right we are ...when we should be sitting across the table with those that think differently than we do and hashing out some kind of understanding about what is best for America ...instead of letting the News and media people do it FOR US!

What bugs me are the shallow people that will vote for a candidate just because of race or gender.

Some "kid" said a could of months ago that he was voting for Hillary to be part of history when we elect the 1st female president. That was his only reason for vote for her.

It is my belief that most Americans vote their personal prejudices. I think they also like someone who is attractive and outgoing. If you look at the last few elections the most outgoing and best looking candidate has won. I think as a country we are both remarkably stupid and breathtakingly uneducated politically. Just a thought here.

I do not believe many are very educated. I myself having done quite a bit of reading up on the candidates have made the informed decision to back John McCain. No one else seems as qualified as him. How sad that people have the power and the freedom to vote and choose not to!

P.S. I encourage you all to visit his web site.

This election does seem to be a free for all as we approach the deadline for the elections. I just find it despicable when the democrats should have an easy victory, they are divided on many issues.

I've been studying in depth, each and every one for the past few years. But you are right.....most don't have the time to do what's necessary to vote for people. Just like we vote people in and they don't have the time to read what they are signing for. Definately a problem.

Obviously not very. You need lots of money to stand for election before you have skill as a politician.

It is all very scary for someone living outside of the US
