The conversion is
C= 5/9(F-32)
100deg C = 212 deg F
0 deg C = 32 deg F
and

The formula to convert is
C degrees x(9/5) +32= F degrees
OR
(Fdegrees -- 32)x (5/9)= C degrees
So when you convert 45 degrees F to Celcius degrees it
(45--32)x(5/9)=
plug it into a calculator and it becomes 7.222222 C degrees

Its quiet simple using the following formulas:
To convert celsius into fahrenheit:
Tf = 9/5 * Tc+32
To convert from fahrenheit to celsius:
Tc = 5/9 * Tf-32
In your case 45 F into celsius will be:
Tc = 5/9 * 45-32
Tc = 7.2 degree celsius.
So 45 F is 7.2 C
