I just got a new HD television for xmas. But, when I hooked up my xbox 360 to it and flipped the HD switch on my 360, the picture was in HD but I could hear no sound. Any ideas?

I played in standard definition and it worked just fine.

Check your HDTV manual to see that the component connection (I assume you are using as you haven't been too detailled about it) uses the same audio connectors that you have plugged into from your Xbox 360.
Check you don't haer sound when tuned into another channel!

i have not heard of this problem before... u should go 2 the store and talk 2 the employees and get some information
