A feminist is a specialization of a human rights activist.

In my opinion, there is no difference between the two.
I am a feminist and a human rights activist.

No difference between the two. Yes, there are extremists but they do not represent the views of the majority. Stop listening to them and don't let them influence your views. Those who claim that feminists want "special rights" really don't want equality even if they won't openly admit it. They don't want to come right out and say it. It's the same thing as for those who don't want minorities or gays to have equal rights. That's why the buzz word "special rights" is used. It's a euphemism that it's all right to discriminate against anyone who is not a heterosexual Protestant white male.

Human Rights Activist support and fight for everyone rights.

Feminist/feminism focus mainly on giving women more rights than men and more special treatments.

There's a HUGE different between the two.

Human rights activists don't get corrupted with power and don't have a scapegoat for all their personal failures.
Jessica: feminists in power, who are the ones that matter, don't want the same rights, I think you know that by now.

Human Rights activist.... a person who advocates rights for all humans, no matter the gender.

Feminist...a person who advocates "women's" rights.
Sometimes this is a positive movement, sometimes it's taken to extremes, at the detriment of men, and leaves people with a bad taste for the cause.

A human rights activist would not attempt to defend the indefensible, e.g., Andrea Yates as some feminists are doing...the woman murdered all those children, one by one, and each knew they were next and were crying and upset and she drowned them one by one in bathwater that had a dead baby floating in it with feces and vomit, etc and she just kept going...feminists blame the husband and say she just "snapped" I call that pretty long drawn out snapping to slowly murder all those defenseless children.

I think a HRA is more prone to advocate for those in third world countries, those in prison, refugeees, immigrants, etc. Where as feminism has been focused upon equalizing the economic, political, and social environment in the developed world.

I support the Women's Edge Coalition an organization that is both. So I would proclaim I am both a feminist and a HRA.

A feminist is primarily concerned with gender inequality and the rights of women; a human-rights activist is more of a jack-of-all-trades.

Human Rights Activist- Is a person that wants fair rights for everyone. Everyone deserves fair rights and entitled to have their rights protected.

Feminist- Is a person that sticks up for woman's rights and wants to see that women are treated just as fairly as men. I would say that Human Rights Activists and Feminists are fairly familiar. I think that a lot of people put a bad spin on Feminists, they are just wanting the same equal rights as men, that's all.
