With Ice or and iron and paper - Place ice on the wax then gently scrape with a table knife to remove for any residual wax simply use plain white paper (like printer paper) place the paper on the wax then apply the iron to the paper. Continue moving the paper until all the wax is absorbed onto the paper.

Recalled from a Heloise column a few holidays back.

This is a tried and true method:

Place 3 paper towels under the stain and 3 above it, sandwiching the piece of table cloth that's stained.
With an iron, apply heat to the upper paper towels where the spot is located and keep the iron on until it heats the tablecloth and the wax melts. After about 30 seconds, lift off the papertowel. Most of the wax will melt and be absorbed to the 2 layers of paper towels. Repeat with fresh paper towels most of the wax is absorbed. Then spot treat with detergent and wash according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Believe me, this will work. It happens all the time with our tablecloth and candles, and it never fails.

Put a flat brown paper bag on your ironing board. Then place the "waxed" part of your tablecloth on top. Then, place another flat brown paper bag as to "sandwich" the tablecloth.

Then, with a hot iron, iron that spot. You will see the brown paper will abosrb the wax. Move the bags around and find clean spots on int. Repeat until wax is gone..

Good luck!

Melt the wax with a hair dryer and then wipe off quickly with a wet rag.
