what is a good casual shirt to wear with gray cashmere sweater?

I want to wear jeans with the gray vneck sweater... but what colors will look good that show through the vneck. BTW I'm a guy

Its been said that everything goes with gray but I say otherwise. I suggest you go with a White collar shirt, or a dark blue collar shirt. It will match evenly and it will look great both casual and just for evening wear.

Emerald green, ruby red, sapphire blue, royal purple will look great.
