The reason is usually because they aren't a question or answer, but that is just a convenient category. The real reason is that someone does not like the message.

For some, it's intolerance. Others feel some sort of mastery over the forum, by reporting questions that are contrary to their political ideology. A few questions though, pose questions in ways that are vehement, slanted, or deliberate attempts at trolling and those are the ones that really upset the lines of communication.

Of course people report others simply because they disagree. I don't but some do. I believe if you have no answer than don't answer. If you don't agree so what. Often they are just trolls deliberately trying to stir up trouble. If you get upset with them you play right into their hands. I have been reported and often don't know why other than some troll doesn't happen to agree with me.

People go around and report people only because they don't agree with what they are saying not because it is in actual violation. I would estimate that atleast 70% of all reported answers are not in violation. And Yahoo does nothing about it.

The same things have happened in the Religious category. It's like "just the facts, ma'am," not much room for jokes or whimsies ! ERG!

But God must have loved politicians! He made so many of them!

I think a lot of the "questions" posted in this section aren't really questions, but are instead rants. Sometimes they are phrased as questions, but really aren't. I see this a lot: "Why does the (POLITICAL PARTY) hate the middle class?" and things like that. That's not really a question worth asking.

sure most are rants or positions so what thats what most blogs are anyway....a place to vent. Reporting is what people do when they have no answer.
