MY MY does this sound like "Love Song For Billy Long"
My answer Is NO
I would rather be in your shoes
But being 67 and always wanting a "slave"
I would never apply the common notion and set many rules.. for the advancement of my friend and companion..
But nowhere would there be domination..but a contract covering work ethics and provisions for quiting ..
Slave is such a bad word
Many such people were granted their "freedom" at simple requests.. which is never reported ... Only the brutal cases..
Just what is wrong with indentured servants.
WOULD that solve our Immigration problem today..??
laws that would require the "slave" to learn our language attend private GED schools paid by the owner (sponser) and apply and test for citizenship???
I am ranting

The whole thing about slavery is that it isn't voluntary. If someone "volunteered" to be your slave, they wanted to have you tell them what to do, which is very different than being subjugated - they could have gotten out of the arrangement, for example, if they didn't like what you were asking of them. Don't denigrate the hardship that actual slaves have to tolerate by confusing it with voluntary activities.
It is not surprising that you have never felt the need to do this, since most people either want to dominate or to be dominated, not both. If people sought you out for domination, you seem to be a dominator, rather than the other way around.

At my age (45+), I wouldn't consider it. I've already had my share of character building lessons.. Having played the role of the prodigal child, I have played master to myself and I have been the slave to myself; I failed at both. I guess we all have to learn our lessons somehow and I would not offer to be anyones master or slave-EVER.
To my surprise, an increasing amount of my young clients (18-26) will talk about participating as "sex slaves" with their spouse or paramour; the end result of the wager on a bet. It is also becoming an acceptable topic of conversation which doesn't seem to raise eyebrows any more than mentioning the winning score of a football game.
Would I willingly be somebody's slave; no, no and no.

Sounds like you could bottle and sell your pheromones. It is also apparent that most people do not read the questions prior to responding to them. I'll bet your question is removed by abuse Nazis before sundown.
I can remember feeling that in love with somebody when in my teens, but I never reached such a state that I actually did it. Perhaps it goes along with the arrested emotional development that is now so common. Adults acting like children. In some cases for their entire lives, never leaving fantasy behind.

Why do yo use the term "slave"? People do things for other people for free, with no obvious benefit, but there are hidden reasons for them to do things. Maybe:
1. They are very enthusiastic and they want the work not only properly done, but the supevisor to be more than satisfied. Nothing personal, and definetly not - slavery.
2. They were secretly in love with you, or they considered you not only as a friend, but a great advisor, supervisor, etc., so they were showing some kind of gratitude to you.
3. Young people often do things for free. They find the benefits in learning things in the process. I did that all the time, and nobody considered me as a "slave".
4. There is, maybe, a straight clear answer to your question (without the details): Yes.
People rather accept to be the followers, not the leaders. People rather avoid responsibilities, and do like to be taken care of.
Human kind is very much like a child generally speaking (of course there are thousends of exceptions), beacuse every system it went through allowed that, including the capitalism. So, every individual is guided, tempted, allowed to be a child within the system, and that behavior passes on other authorities - institutions, organisations, supevisors...

Whether or not this is "normal" depends upon a person's morals. Believe it or not, enslaving people is a humanistic quality, although most people wouldn't like to admit it. Humans have enslaved other humans for decades. The "newest" form of human slavery is through the the forced prostitution of poor and kidnapped women.
As far as sex is concerned, some people gain sexual pleasure from allowing themselves to be abused. Deeper issues there. Question is, do you enjoy controlling women? Maybe you exude that type of energy to those who want to be abused.

I know that there are some that enjoy that sort of kinky stuff—some even wear neck bands to indicate they belong to someone and so forth.
Hey to each their own right? I wouldn’t be a good candidate for that not even to be someone’s’ Master or whatever.
On the other hand we all somehow “serve” someone or some system whether willingly or not and that is somewhat inevitable—even Bill Gates serves his wealth.
If you are referring to the sexual thing then definitely not—if the other subtle kind well, aren’t we all to some degree?

They volunteered to be your slave in what context?
Sexually...yes...more offers than I can count or remember.
Some offers I declined...others I gladly accepted.
Slavery...as consensual sexual play...quite nice.
In any other context...I have never had any offers, nor made any offers. The word "low self esteem" comes to mind, when I think of someone offering to be a genuine slave...but to each his own...if it works for the slave and master, who's to judge?
I certainly wouldn't say its common. (especially outside of the bedroom/dungeon).
You may just have that commanding presence...
