I see my router on the list but it will not connect to it. I get a massage "connection timeout" or "connection failed" I use my wireless G adapter for my desktop computer so i know my wireless is working. But on the Apple laptop I can't get it to work, it won't select mine or my neighbors ID. Is there any reason for this. Or do I have to secure my network for it to work.

Macs can use unsecured wireless networks; it would be helpful to know the model of your laptop and the version of mac os,as well as the type of router.
