I had my last period on the 29th of November, technically it was only a withdrawal bleed. From then on I didn't take anymore BC, we BD'd at least every third day, more often every other day during this month since we weren't sure when I would ovulate.

According to the BC 28 day cycle, my period should have arrived yesterday and didn't. I took a $ tree pregnancy test this morning and it came out negative although I've been having some 'symptoms'. Such as
-insomnia
-constant feeling of nausea
-abdominal cramping and pain
-extreme fatigue
-breasts feel bigger, sharp pains sometimes, darkening around the outside of only one aereola

What I'm wondering is, when can I test and get an accurate result. I think there's a pretty good chance I could be pregnant but I don't want to keep testing and using up my tests if it won't be accurate for a while anyways.

What do you all think? How much longer should I wait? Could I in fact be pregnant and just getting a negative result?

If you don't get a period before then, try a test morning of the 31st Dec . . . and hope for a good start to the New Year.

Good luck . . . . and I know you HATE waiting to test. (Try it a few months in a row like many)

Symptoms sound hopeful, but COULD be just wishful thinking it happens.

Waiting for the wife to test in a day or 3 . . . and killing me . . . I THINK I know the result, but not saying anything ., . .

I was on BC for 7yrs straight, I finished my last pack at the end of Jan/beginning of February, had my period like clockwork on 8 February, took a test on 8 March when I knew my period should start and found out I was exactly 4 wks pregnant. So it is possible to get pregnant right off BC, and you should be able to find out the day your period should start. It is possible that you could be pregnant but your hormone levels are registering yet, you could always go to the doc and take their test.

if you just stopped BC, it might take a while to get pregnant.
I would say if you wait a few more days the test result should be accurate, although about 1 in a million of women the tests dont work for them due to medical issues.
most of those symptoms could be from just stopping your BC side affects.
But its always possible to be pregnant!!! so keep your fingers crossed, and test in a few days.

Some you'll take as much as five days earlier than...even though there's a better danger of having a fake poor. I took a relatively low cost one, that wasn't even consider to be an early detection one, earlier than my interval and it got here again optimistic. I say if you're nervous move take a pee experiment! If it comes again optimistic then yay! if it comes again poor, simply wait a couple of extra days and check out a different experiment.
