Ever in the history of NFL? Not at all. A handful of guys do it every year. He was the first player to return an opening kickoff in a Super Bowl. He also holds the record for most returns for touchdowns in a single season.

nope. im exggerating but the opening kick of a game or even the opening kickoff of the season has been done a bunch of times. devin hester isnt the first and he isnt the last. i would give you a list. but its a long list.
but he is the first to do it in a super bowl.

No, I went to the Seahawks .v. Redskins game at the Kingdome back in 1998, and the Seahawks ran it back for a touchdown.
