I'm thinking of getting a new Honda Civic, and I live in a snowy climate. If you have a Civic (current body style,) how does it handle in the snow?

Having driven a new Civic in the snow, I have to disagree with Lance.

As long as you have at least all season radials with 1/2 tread, they go in the snow like crazy. I live on a 15% grade (steep) hill. It is up to the house. The Civic goes up and down the hill just fine, and never dives for the ditch. Put some hydrophilic snow tires on it and it is as good as any SUV in the white stuff.

BTW thats an Si with 270 HP, a LX or EX will go better with the narrower tires.
Cheers! Let it snow!

Honda civic is not that good in the snow even if you get a , all wheel tire, you are better off with a 4+4 SUV for the snow

I own one and it lacks much ground clearance in the front. In a snowy climate, this could cause your car to get snow piled up in front of it, stopping your car.

If you want good snow Honda, a Honda CRV would be a better bet. Better ground clearance in the front and AWD.

I bet it's okay in the snow. I have an 2005 Accord, and it handles great in the snow.

The new Civic sure is great looking. I love the 2 door.

No. Because of their extreme light weight, they will have more trouble than a heavier vehicle in snow.
