I need something that is easy to transport a baby in-probably four door-but I also want it to be sporty looking. I LOVE the aluminum trim in vehicles. I'm looking to spend $20-25,000. Hopefully something good on gas mileage. So far I'm interested in the brand new Nissan Altimas.. or maybe an Acura, I just saw a picture of one of those and love it. An SUV isn't totally out of the question if it gets decent gas mileage. I currently drive a Lincoln Navigator and I also own a Mercury Cougar if that tells you about my style. Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks!

Toyota Prius is way cooler-looking than any of the cars mentioned so far. There's lots of room inside, with plenty of room for baby seats. And of course you'll save a heap of money on fuel and you'll be doing your part for the environment.

the altima is not a bad bet neither are new Taurus, edge, fusion, escape.
the Camry is tried and true and both the 4cyl and v-6 are ok
the honda element [with all wheel drive option] is a very good snow car [don't take off road] and has A LOT of usable space[with love or hate styling] at least they are painting the fenders now.[ while out of price range unless purchased used] the chrysler 300 is both cool and reliable and can be had with mercedes 4matic system, with the hemi engine this is "da bomb" although fuel mileage [lack of] should not enter this equation.
note if you intend ford you should also shop mazda as SOME models are shared in every aspect except nameplate and price [mazda priced significantly less]

The new Altimas are definitely pretty, but it sounds like you like the Ford-Lincoln-Mercury family, so what about a Ford Escape? It seems like it would be good for transporting a baby & all it's stuff, plus you could get the hybrid model & get great mpg!

I would highly recommend buying a Nissan Altima because it is a very durable, reliable, and stylish vehicle.

Buy a GM... the rest are crap.
Look around... how many REALLY old cars do you see? Not any Foreign cars, and not a lot of fords either. Lots and Lots of General Motors cars though.
