After i switch my PC on i can hear the sound that it is running but does not display anything on the screen then after 10 or 20 seconds it goes down.

There is nothing I can do as it is not even giving me any option. but just dull.

yes it is fried.
most likely the motherboard or processor.
you could try howerver to remove one or the other sticks of memory if you have more than one. even if you have little history of wqorking on PC components ther is little you couls mee up at this point.
most repair shops other than the BIG BOX stores will check out whats wrong and test everything for around $40 or 30 puonds depending on where you are from.

check cooling fan on cpu.the clamps sometime expand due not enough auxsillery fans .take off the cpu fan clean it &cpu reseal both &use a bit of a match on both clamps to tighten the fan to cpu .run pc on its side ,if this works then you can put it upright .but it would do no harm to look around for a new cpu. some mobos have a builtin safety feture that wont allow pc to boot if cpu is in danger of frying.

Re install windows, if that did not solve the problem then buy a new video card.

try a different monitor that will prove whether its the screen or the processor at fault.
