1. Peyton Manning finally wins the big one. Colts win the Super Bowl over the Bears.

2. Red Sox win their second World Series in four seasons.

3. Another year of rumors and nonsense about steroids/HGH in baseball culminated by the long-awaited Mitchell Report, which solved nothing, really, and fueled even more rumors and nonsense.

4. Patriots go 15-0 in their quest for The Perfect Season (this will move to #1 on my list if they seal the deal against the Giants this week).

5. Florida follows up their 2006 NCAA Men's Basketball title by finishing with the #1 ranking in the BCS in football with a convincing 41-14 rout of Ohio State.

6. Florida repeats as NCCA Men's basketball champs.

8. Barry Bonds passes Hank Aaron as the all-time home run leader (would be at the top without the controversy).

9. Anaheim Ducks win the Stanley Cup.

10. Marion Jones stripped of all Olympic medals for admitting using banned substances.
