That if you are speaking on the phone and mention keywords that have meaning of national security, such as IRA, or Al Qaeda, or Greenham Common for example, the call is automatically recorded by the security services.
Also, all calls to sex phone lines are tapped and recorded and the sexual deviancy of callers recorded and filed for future reference.

I wouldnt know about calls being recorded. I do know of one girl who sent a text with a joke in it about bombing somewhere, it was some silly thing she said in jest and when she went to school the next day a couple of officials from the government spoke to her and gave her a warning.

This seems to be an urban legend. There is no way that every phone call could be traced 24/7 and the goverment would need an incredible amount of storage space to keep all of that evidence. What are your sources?

and the tapes ( on disks ) can be stored for months or probably years.

as far as the sex line thing, maybe that's kept incase someone rapes or molests someone and they can use that as evidence.
