can sims2pets that are for windows xp?

can it go and work in vista too i got sims2pets and it says i need sims2 first buy my brother has vista i want to know if i can install this game in his vista too

Most XP games will run in Vista, using compatibility mode.
Once you install the game, right click on the shortcut and choose properties. In the properties window go to the compatibility tab. You can choose Windows versions all the way back to Win95. Pick the version that the game was designed to run in.
