What? Wasnt that some essay somebody wrote in response to W getting reelected?

Edit: Aspirations? That essay was more of a personal voice of disgust/an excuse to make fun of, compare and contrast both British and American lifestyles. It's only even political for about the first paragraph.

America's a little disillusioned with the whole political system right now, I'd imagine. After realizing the 2004 election was a giant 'WOOPS!,' they tried to elect a democratic congress, realizing that after the newly elected speaker said 'no!' on impeaching Bush and/or Cheney, the American public once again had to exclaim 'WOOPS!' Of course, keeping the Republicans in congress would have been even worse. Now its just a veto contest, akin to measuring each other's organs.
I WISH WISH WISH WISH WISH this would open the doors to viable third party candidates (like, say, Libertarians, who'd usher back our freedoms lost since 2001), but sadly, that'll doubtfully happen.
