My mom uses baby powder for oil. You just cake it on on top of the stain. The powder sucks the oil out. Then you launder it. I use a spot treatment solution like shout. I usually skip the powder thing and just put the shout. I find if i do it pretty soon after it comes out. You can treat it and let it sit until you wash it. If it doesn't come out, you can treat it again. I've had oily stains come out the second time around.

I don't think I will spill it on my dog - "spots" are precious :o). But if you do so and ask me I'll tell you that the breed's name should be spelled correctly with 3 A's and no O's - dalmatiAn. Now that you know the correct spelling, ask you parents keep the spot remover out of your reach.

I was told if you put cornstarch on and rub it in it will absorb the oil and then launder like you usually do.
