1 acts as a physical barrier. prevents sun rays, dust and cool prickling air from invading inside
2 prevents invasion of micro organisms by maintaining
* low pH(by production of lactic acid)
* sabaceous glands (produce substances toxic to bacteria)
* sweat glands present in skin produces lysozyme which destroys the bacteria
3 maintains the water balance by sweating
4 it is one of the sense organ. so it acts as a receptor which recieves stimuli and sends impulse to brain.

and the MOST IMPORTANT FUNTION IS it acts as a mirror which expresses the inner feelings... like ur skin starts blushing when some body praises u or proposes to u or ur skin becomes pale when exams begin
am I right?????

the skin blocks out sun (melinan)
its helps keep the bodys temperture, it produces sweat in the sudoriferous glands
it helps protect the skin from bacteria getting inside it
when the skin is cut, it produces a lining of skin that keeps the blood in and the bacteria out

Circumcision will not cure an infection. Maybe your friend should just get treatment for the infection. It is actually unusual to get infections of the foreskin he should be more careful where he puts it. M.

Here's my guess:
1.) to shield yourself from the sun and radiation,
2.) to keep out microbes, like bacteria and viruses,
3.) to protect yourself from extreme hot and cold, and
4.) to prevent the flow of water in and out of your body, and to keep out potentially hazardous substances.
