How about a comparison of performance contrasts...

...from being a notorious, albeit fictional killer, to being killed BY a notorious, albeit fictional killer, go back to Johnny's humble beginnings, and the original "Nightmare on Elm Street"; don't forget, he was one of Freddy's victims in that movie...

...the ironic contracts between both films are further evident; as Sweeney Todd, Johnny portrayed a most sinister and skilled purveyer of the righteous arterial spray, whereas as one of Freddy's hapless victims, he WAS a righteous arterial spray...in fact, he was a veritable guyser!!!

I agree with the first poster, that's a good idea. Also, watch him in his role of Willy Wonka, definitely a drastic role change. Also....watch his performance in The Libertine, you wouldn't think he's the same actor...

yeah it is hard to think of him as anything but captain jack... but he is perfect for the role and he did an amazing job. The movie was incredible and he did fantastic.
