I figure all I need is my sleeping bag, some toilet paper and a box of matches. Any other suggestions?

You're the best camping girl ever if you can get buy with just that!
optional list
1.red licorice for straws and fake walrus teeth should the need arise, also to snack on
2.trusty hatchet to chop on some firewood
3.some sort of ball to throw around maybe like a popcorn ball to throw around then it could be more emergency food too, just don't try to hit it with a bat because it would just explode and then the dammm squirrels will be pouncing on the popcorn bits and then you have neither a ball nor an emergency snack, just a bunch of fat happy popcorn hogging squirrels trying to hang around your campsite and tell you lame squirrel ghost stories.....???what???
4.something to make a hot cup of coffee in on the fire in the morning time because that is awesome.
5. tuba to start playing the jaws theme song while someone else is in a body of water while you are hiding nearby in the woods. how freaked out would they be?? swimming and then they hear it but can't see where its coming from!
6.also.........I am just gonna stop myself there.

Have fun camping! I bet it is gonna be awesome!!

Food is always nice to have and something to open the cans and eat the food with. you will need a trash bag to carry your trash out as you need to leave the wilderness cleaner than when you arrived. I don't know if a cell phone or something for communications will work but better to have something than nothing at all. A flash light, maybe one of those kind that you wind up as batteries do go bad. A snake bite kit just in case although with the snakes in the outback you can pretty much call it a day if you do get bitten. let someone know where you are going to be and when to expect you back so they will know where to start looking for you if you are late. A camera as you never know what you will see that you will need to share with others after you return.

Geez, where do you live - I'd be sleeping in a snowbank somewhere. As far as your journey, I would choose # priority the toilet paper.

How will you camp in winter?

You also need marshmellows, chocolate and graham crackers to make s'mores!
