maybe the other lesbians are just a little shy!!! maybe some embarrassment is involved... however I'm very proud of you that you are so open and honest about your sexuality!!! there are lots of people who try to hide it.... that is probably what your problem is... they are still just hiding it!!!

Alot of lesbians stay quiet in hs . Major problems at home if family finds out , plus their strait friends deserting them . For the record , there are lesbians around in your school . Just quiet , and lonely too .

I think you should concentrate on school right now,and not finding a girlfriend. When the time is right, you'll find one.Don't be in such a hurry.I mean, there might be some lesbians at your school, but they might not be ready to come out quite yet.

Maybe they just aren't as bold as you are about it.People come out at different times.Being in a relationship is hard, and I think you should concentrate on school for right now.

Patience Lil butterfly... j/k, but honestly there are alot of good points given here, take your time u are too young to even let this become a problem, finding a friend/partner should come when u are mentally and emotionally ready, so u wont be just one of many young girls... be it male or female just be u don't worry about finding or even looking for anyone

Well at high school age, people are still very naive and young, so they get too embarassed to admit if they are.
Just be patient, when you turn 18 (here in the UK) you can start going to gay pubs or nightclubs.
For now just focus on your studies and yourself.

Because most teens are unwilling to admit they are gay or aren't even aware of their sexual preference yet. Check the phone directory and look up organizations that can help you out. There are plenty of legitimate organizations out there to help teens in your situation.

It is a fact that lesbians usually come out later in life than gay men, often in the late 20's or even the 30's. Just hold on until you are in college, there are often organizations for gay people at a lot of the more liberal schools. Good luck, just be patient.
