All i hav 2 be happy about is a paid day off from work. and yes i know the true meaning of christmas. anybody else woke up feeling the same way?

This is my son's second christmas, but the first that he has understood so far. (He doesnt understand santa or the true meaning of christmas yet as he is only 16 months old, but he liked opening the presents) and I realized that although I am not a child anymore, seeing the joy on my son's face was absolutely amazing and I am so lucky to have such a beautiful family to wake up to on Christmas morning.

No, the only way that I'm not a kid on Christmas is that I don't wake up early -- due to wrapping presents until late the night before and generally going without enough sleep.

I guess I get the excitement vicariously from my children.

My daughter reminded me this morning that I'm not a child anymore when she woke me up at 4:00a.m. and I didn't care that Santa had been here! =)
