seems a good time to thank all those that have served and to the families of those serving - my thoughts are with you too.thankyou.

thanks 4 some great responses (apart from one). this wasnt about politics.it was taking a few minutes out of your day to appreciate what they do.
quicksand: i totally agree...seems someone somewhere always has something to complain about.lets just for one day be thankful for what we have.

I think this posting is very thoughtful.
Look at all the other postings, one day can't go by without whining, complaining, b!tching, shove down our throat anti something, hate mongers, misery etc......
Thanks for posting what you did, many people aren't having a warm fire, hot meal, pretty tree, loved ones nearby today.....
Have 2 kids myself in the military that I won't see for a while.....
So thanks....and have a wonderful holiday season and bright new year!!!

Absolutely agree.

I cannot begin to imagine where they get the strength to do what they do, or how their families cope without them.

Although I often rant on about the "war" in Iraq etc, my problems are with the government not the amazingly brave service men and women who stand in the face of danger every day.

God bless them all and keep them safe.
