An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who intentionally posts derogatory controversial messages in an on-line community such as an on-line discussion forum with the intention of baiting other users into an emotional and argumentative response. "Troll" is also used in a broader pejorative sense to question the good faith of any Internet user who has annoyed the person using the term.
