I got a new Dell Vostro 1000 laptop and it came with XP on it. I'm running it with our router we have from our home desktop which has XP on it. I'm trying to find out if I can install Vista on this laptop. Is that possible?

Hi,
just stick with XP Pro with SP2 it's still the best.

Yes, although you will have to purchase the software from a retail establishment.
Remember you want the retail version Not an upgrade or update.
This will reformat the hard drive and wipe XP off and re-Install Vista.

yes it is possible
many r doing it only if your laptop is compatible with xp.
just check it once online form microsoft site

But think before doing it. Many softwares are still not designed for Vista. they are giving problems on Vista

Also i will suggest to take help of vendor in installation
they can debug many things

Thank you.
