When I have a job that gives this day off I like the time off with my wife, I like the friendliness of strangers the good cheer the presents, the giving etc.
I hate the crime, the traffic, rude attitudes of the few, I love telling people Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays and being told such but I hate the attitudes of people who force either and get upset if someone says Happy holidays instead of Merry Christmas or get upset when someone says Merry Christmas instead of Happy holidays.
I hate the way people turn on you if you do not wish them Merry Christmas. But other than that I love this time of year.
I hate fighting over words. I love PEACE, JOY GOODWILL TO ALL.

I'm not Christian and don't celebrate Christmas, so the fact that so much stuff is closed is annoying. I'm in London cat sitting this year, and am really disappointed that there's no public transport at all. There are a few movie theatre open and some restaurants, but I have no way to get there unless I want to spend a fortune on a taxi.
My mum works retail in America and has to work crazy hours, so I also hate that part of it, as she's really miserable this time of year.

Treasure what you have!
Today is the 6th christmas since my family died.
I will probably watch silly movies, eat a lot of food, but what's missing is doing it all with family.

What I like about it? Gifts. Food.
What i dislike?
Well since my family isnt close at all, we dont celebrate it together. I dont like the stress of buying gifts for people and trying to arrange a day to meet up and exchange. Or trying to make plans work out for everyone and end up failing in the end.

It can be a bit stressful - kids with new stuff, cooking the dinner & trying to keep everyone happy in general - especially for women!

what i hate about this day is that its over commerialized and children are lied to about this santa dude that supposely is to deliver gifts and to place it under the tree. when kids dont get what they want they get upset and disappointed ...etc....why do that to a child.
