I think National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is much funnier, but certainly not worth showing over and over again.

OMG!I was thinking the same thing.It's a pretty good movie,but there really isn't any need for TBS to show 24/7.I mean,come on.Out of all the Christmas movies,they could at least show some more.

It is a good movie but I'm sure the owner's of the TBS station decide each Christmas to give the TBS staff the day off, so they show one movie for 24 hours so the TBS staff can enjoy the day off (and keep a skeleton crew working for the day to make sure everything at the TBS station continues to work properly).

Just a tradition...we love to laugh every year about Ralphie shooting his eye out! Have a drink and you can really get into the humor of the show then!!

I really like that movie, but most likely the station is trying to get their money's worth from byuing the movie rights. also, they can put it on automatic and not as many people have to be at work.

I agree with you. I love Christmas Vacation, but still wouldn't want to watch it ALL day.

Where else are you going to see a kid with his tongue stuck to a flag pole? I love it. Besides it beats the heck out of that stale old "It's a wonderful life". That's one that I can't stand.

I love that movie....it shows the dysfunction of all families even during the holiday.

ETA: It has nothing to do with the writers' strike. They've been doing this for nearly 20 years.

Because it is Ted Turner's FAVORITE Christmas movie. Kick back and enjoy the marathon. or........change the channel.
