Quixtar is a multi level marketing company. Now the parent company of Amway.

It works by selling products, and signing other people up under you to sell products. The more people you have in your pyramid, the more money you make off of their commissions. The people under you sign people up, and those people sign people up. The hope is always that someday you at sitting on top of a huge selling organization skimming, a little commission off all of the people below you.

Lots of people have heard of Quixtar. If you go to ripoffreport.com and type in the name, you will find several complaints. Also if you go to mlmwatchdog and look for the 20 Dec issue, 6th October issue and 25th Sept issue, you can find more information.

I wrote a blog recently about advice for working from home. These two sources above are excellent places to find out about home based businesses and are listed in my blog. Also in my blog, which is all very generic information, are other things to look for and consider when wanting to start a home based business. You can find a link to the blog in my profile here on answers in the 2nd paragraph.

If I can be further help, just let me know

Is it a legit business opportunity? Yes.
Will you make any money at it"? No, probably not.

The "dirty little secret" with Quixtar are the training tools (books, CDs, DVDs, etc.) and seminars. What the people at the top of the pyramid do not want you to know is that a vast majority of their income comes from these tools and seminars. Because of this, most Quixtar reps (99.9%+) never turn a profit.
