He pushes the car with his feet, but then it runs the rest of the way just like a real car... I think it can't be done, but somehow he drives it just like a real car. How did he manage it? I've tried it before but it doesn't work for me.

If you get enough momentum and the land is perfectly flat, you should be able to keep the car moving (in theory). You could also argue that the Earth's gravity was probably lighter back then

I think there is a prehistoric creature of some kind inside the motor that keeps it running.

There are two simple explanation, one is called momentum, the other is called a little dino engine inside of what we know as the hood, wherever that is.

The car doesn't run...only the scenery behind it runs...that's why you always see him passing the same three trees 100 times! LOL
