It's generally synonymous with cliff face. Face, as in front, of a vertical exposure of rock.

i never heard rock face, i've heard stone-faced, which mean's expressionless. so i'm assuming same thing? cold, hard and without feeling.

i hope no one is stonefaced this time of year..shitfaced is acceptable tho, but wait til new years or santa might not approve

it has to do with rock climbing and it is also an indoor rock climbing gym.
