Home-made and hand-made ... I grind a mixture of STarbucks beans (except for some obscure stuff from California, they are the best quality beans around). The varities used are: Colombian, 50%; Ethiopian, 20%; Sulawesi, 30%. Then use two tablespoonsful of the fresh grounds for each 6-ounce cup of water. Although I have a very good automatic drip coffeemaker, the BEST is when I take the time to brew it up in the Chemex - takes more time and attention, but the flavor is astonishingly GOOD!
OK, now I gotta go make a pot ....

well i saw my first cacao tree this year and have a conscience to help the producers. I like 'trade' or 'ethical' coffee simple because it better tasting for my conscience, and therefore my taste buds as well. Yes trade coffee does taste better - they try that much harder to grow the perfect beans.
