if he is depressed for a reason , or he want to talk about something you will be the first to talk to , but if he is in a bad mood for no apparent reason , that's hopeless , like the hormones thing .

Depends on the relationship. A THANK YOU is way more personal than a gift. Write them a beautiful letter. "Dear ____, I hate to see you so down, you will never know what a tremendous help you are to me when I feel this way." Describe WHAT they did in detail,"When you made me smile when it felt like my word was ending..." remind them of the outcome... Then offer yourself to them. Don't just say "Dude, things will get better, trust me" Your HEART will help you.

I KNOW you are a good friend because you took the time to ask this question.

For my bf? I do naked jumping jacks. I'm a chubby chic so imagine that! One would HAVE to laugh!!

Oh sweet Farah, that shouldn't be a problem for you, just be your caring self with them and they will be better isa.

As for me, i would try my best to make them feel loved and appreciated and show them how much i care about them in anyway possible. My friends are always in my thoughts and prayers and i wish them all the best from my heart.

tell them we love them and make them feel good about themselves. Start long conversations with them and talk abt what is bothering them and try to help by giving ideas, suggestions, or at least showing that we are concerned and that we care. I usually do that with my friends and my dear friends do that with me ;)

to expand on the gift... do something thoughtful, like something that you obviously spent time on, but doesnt cost a lot of money, like a scrapbook, or painted frames of pics of u 2
