i didnt quite understand the first part of your question...

but the second part, if you're talking about 'The Pill', the contraceptive that is taken on a regular basis (daily) then NO deffinately NOT is it ok to take the pill once as it will have absolutely NO affect. You need to have been taking it for at least 7 days to make sure that you have adequate contraception. So once again, one pill will NOT work. As for names of them, some birth control pills have chemical-y names, while the others have female names. Such as Dianne, Yasmin, Estelle (which im currently on), Juliet, Brenda...the list goes on. But if you go to your local doctor he will be able to choose the best one for you. You also can't get it just over the counter, you need to have a prescription for it.

If, on the other hand you're talking about the morning after pill then yes the dosage that you're given from the chemist is enough. You take the first tablet, and then exactly 12 hours later take the second tablet. And thats it.

Hard to understand what you are asking , but the pill must be taken regularly per instructions , usually for about 28 days , then skip a number ( per directions ) maybe 5

Birth control pills are supposed to be taken regularly. It's harder than you think. Not only you must take them every day, you should take them at the same hour. They are by prescription only.

If you are in the U.S., contact your local Planned Parenthood for help.
