Mutant how? Any natural mutation is still based on a normal mouse so it's genetically ok to eat. The scientific mutations they're doing -- altering the genes and giving glow in the dark properties--aren't going to be on the market as pets since they're strictly research creatures.

Natural mutations do happen. Curly coats, long fur, small ears, big ears, fatness, no tail--the mouse is still a normal mouse in other respects so would not be a danger if eaten.

Why, you train the mouse to fight crime, of course. His mutant powers need not go to waste!
