How much is a cheap guitar?

really cheap like less than $50...any kind exist?

I have a black Strat made in China I got in Germany from Musik Produktiv and payed 69 Euros for it and it came with a cheap gig bag.
It sounds and plays Fantastic I have played 100s of gig with it.
I have not changed any thing on it.
So cheap is not all ways bad ...

Well, you can get one pretty cheap at a pawn shop, and a good "inexpensive" brand, would be the strat knock off, by the name of "Ion". my husbands young guitar student has one of those and it sounds pretty good, and they look decent. although, im speaking for my hubby here, hes asleep right now, So i will say what he says lol- the best thing to do is just make the investment if your really serious in an expensive guitar, For instance, he has a 70 something les paul custom in ints original paint, and hes used this thing on pretty much every tour hes been on, and its still awesome. stick with the expensive brands if your really serious, theyre worth the investment. Oh, and if you insist on a cheapie, go top ebay, weve found awesome deals- my hubby bought the the Paul; Stanley (KISS front man- amazing guy) silvertone accustic guitar for 50 or 70 bucks on there, and its wonderful, and also, check guitarcenter.com, they have a lot of those "student" strat knockoffs, theyre from fender, but theyre not really....up to snuff strats, like, lower grade. good luck!!! Merry CHRISTmas!!! you most likely will not find any thing that cheap, but if you go to ebay, you can have some awesome luck on it and get a steal under 100 like my hubby and i did on that accustic.

My dad works for Fender©....so i know about this stuff
A cheap guitar that is remotely good would be around $200
and belive me thats cheap.and thats even 2nd hand.
but you can prob get like 2nd hand cheap ones at guitar sales and things of that nature.
you wont find a brand name guitar for $50

Wal-Mart of all places sell (let me use the word inexpensive) guitars. :)
